Stefanie Neumann, MA

Stefanie joined the Global Center for Health Security in June 2022 as a Web Coordinator. She assisted with the redesign of the GCHS website, and rebuilt the new Region VII Disaster Health Response Ecosystem (R7DHRE) website, both of which she currently maintains. She is transitioning to take over the National Infection Control Strenghtening (NICS) website, which was launched in the spring of 2023.  She has experience with Cascade CMS, Divi WordPress, and SquareSpace web design platforms, and has recently  learned how to navigate Google Analytics/ Looker Studio and SocialPilot. In addition to updating the aforementioned website, she is also in charge of collecting website analytics. 

In April 2024, Stefanie's titled changed to Communications & Web Coordinator. Her Communication duties include managing GCHS and R7DHRE social media using SocialPilot, creating the monthly R7DHRE and GCHS newsletters, collecting social media analytics, and working with the graphic design team to create marketing and communication-related materials.  

Prior to starting at the GCHS, Stefanie served as the communication specialist for the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Health Careers Resource Center (HCRC) and the Omaha Area Health Education Center (AHEC) for nearly four years. In this role, Stefanie maintained both the HCRC and AHEC websites, and created and distributed marketing materials and newsletters. Further, she assisted pre-health students with professional program applications, helped plan events, processed and aggregated scholarship applications, and offered administrative support to staff. Stefanie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2009 and a Master of Arts in Communication at UNO in 2016. She is a huge fan of the German National Soccer Team "Die Mannschaft" & the FC Bayern Munich soccer team, and she enjoys traveling, spending time with her cat Cleopawtra, arts & crafts, and hanging out with her friends and family.
