- C-STARS
  C-STARS, the Center for Sustainment of Trauma Readiness Skills- Omaha is a collaboration between UNMC, Nebraska Medicine, and the Air Force Research Laboratory’s School of Aerospace Medicine. C-STARS Omaha works closely with UNMC’s Global Center for Health Security, iEXCEL, and the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit to take advantage of the medical center’s capabilities and expertise in biopreparedness training and research.

Tina Hovorka, BMS

Finance and Grants Coordinator

Tina Hovorka has more than 30 years of administrative support experience at UNMC. She joined GCHS in 2019 and worked on various COVID-19 response activities including the Special Pathogens Research Network (SPRN) and as primary support for Dr. Chris Kratochvil. She currently works as the Finance and Grants Coordinator and serves as a valuable training resource for newly-hired staff. She earned a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies with a concentration on general administration and minors in psychology and gerontology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
