Many families lack soap, clean water, and basic hygiene supplies, forcing some to use sand or oatmeal for handwashing. Humanitarian organizations are rushing supplies into Ituri province as officials work to contain the outbreak, but frontline responders remain deeply concerned about the vulnerability of densely populated camps located near the center of the epidemic.
