Faculty members and trainees in the division of geriatrics, gerontology and palliative medicine provide patient care at the Home Instead Center for Successful Aging and UNMC's clinical partners, Nebraska Medicine and the Omaha VA. Geriatrics Care

Nebraska Medicine provides comprehensive care for older adults that focuses on function and independence. We provide a full continuum of care from outpatient care to rehabilitation, nursing home and home care.

Palliative Care

The palliative care team provides an extra layer of support from the symptoms and stress that comes with having a serious or chronic illness. We provide holistic care for body, mind and spirit so you and your family can experience the best quality of life during an overwhelming time.

Geriatric Mental Health

Our geriatric psychiatry experts have specialized training in the special physical, emotional and social needs of patients aged 65 and older. We provide a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment of older adults to help them live as independently as possible.

Engage Wellness Medical Fitness Center

UNMC’s Engage Wellness is Omaha’s only medical fitness and whole-person wellness program for adults that is affiliated with a leading academic health sciences center. We specialize in developing programs for people with chronic conditions as well as individualized fitness programs.
