House Officers
Residency Council
The UNMC Internal Medicine Residency Council ensures that the needs of our house officers are heard, explored and addressed. Made up of three, peer-elected house officers from each residency class, the council meets monthly to discuss resident concerns and opportunities for program improvement.
Suggested changes are fast-tracked to residency program leadership so that we can meet the needs of our residency as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The residency council also oversees a residency wellness fund, which is used to plan activities and purchase items that support the wellness of our residents. Overall, the residency council adds to a culture of open dialogue, support and positivity.
