Professional Summary

Cynthia is an Assistant Project Director in the Department of Education and Child Development at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and an ESL Endorsement with Concordia University. Her previous experience includes working as an educator in multiple grade levels from pre-kindergarten to 4th grade for Omaha Public Schools, Archdiocese of Omaha Catholic Schools, and overseas, in the educational system of Peru for over 16 years.

Cynthia has been part of UNMC since 2013. She performs individual child assessments and classroom observations in early childhood programs and schools across the Omaha area. She also organizes and conducts assessments during home visits as part of the evaluation for the Superintendents’ Early Childhood Plan. Cynthia collaborates with her colleagues providing translation and interpretation in Spanish to meet their clients’ needs.
