Unpaid internship opportunities to help individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities gain knowledge and skills which could potentially lead to paid employment.
- Nebraska Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disorders (LEND) Program
Interdisciplinary leadership training for preservice graduate students, postdoctoral interns, practicing professionals and disability and family advocates, as well as undergraduate students in pipeline programs.
- State Disability Leadership Seminars
An annual series of community trainings held across the state involving Nebraska disability leaders on promoting leadership and advocacy skills targeting persons with disabilities, family members and concerned citizens.
- University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service (UCEDD)
The core functions of a UCEDD are to provide pre-service preparation and continuing education, services (including technical assistance, community education, and direct services), research and information dissemination. The UCEDD at MMI offers many projects that support people with disabilities and their families and caregivers.
