Professional Summary

Kari has been in the field of education for more than 20 years.  She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wyoming and her Master of Science from the University of Nebraska Omaha, both in the field of Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood.  She was a Family Home Childcare Provider for the US Air Force, taught preschool and in almost every grade K- 6th in Wyoming and California. After her family was transferred to Nebraska by the Air Force, she worked for the 55th Wing Force Support Squadron and their Education and Training Manager prior to coming to the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Munroe-Meyer Institute. Kari currently serves as an Assistant Project Director and Early Childhood Program Evaluator in the Department of Education and Child Development and as adjunct faculty for Metropolitan Community College Early Childhood Education Program.
