Nichole Baker, MA, is a predoctoral intern in the Behavioral Pediatrics and Integrated Care Program in the department of psychology at the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute. She joins us from the University of Texas at Austin School Psychology Program in Austin, TX. Prior to internship, Nichole provided clinical services to children, adolescents and families across a variety of settings including schools, community based mental health centers, private practice, hospital-based clinics and Early Head Start/Head Start programs. Nichole takes an integrated cognitive behavioral and systems approach to treatment and assessment and has been trained in the use of the Modular Approach to the Treatment of Children – Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Conduct Problems (MATCH) and the Principal-Guided Psychotherapy for Children and Adolescents (FIRST). Her research interests center on implementing and disseminating evidence-based therapies to improve the access to and the quality of care for underserved children and families.
