Professional Summary
Nichole Baker is a provisionally licensed mental health practitioner and postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s (UNMC) Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation (MMI). She joins us from the University of Texas at Austin School Psychology Program in Austin, TX. Prior to fellowship, Nichole provided clinical services to children, adolescents and families across a variety of settings including schools, community based mental health centers, private practice, hospital-based clinics and Early Head Start/Head Start programs. As an intern, Nichole was part of the Behavioral Pediatrics and Integrated Care program at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. Nichole takes an integrated cognitive behavioral and systems approach to treatment and assessment and has been trained in the use of the Modular Approach to the Treatment of Children – Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and Conduct Problems (MATCH) and the Principal-Guided Psychotherapy for Children and Adolescents (FIRST). Dr. Baker's research centers around the implementation and dissemination of evidence-based practices in integrated settings to improve access to and the quality of care for underserved children and families.
