The theme for this year is: Nursing Does That

Tell us a story of when nursing changed your perspective, life, values- who you thought you were. Nursing Does That. We are looking for stories that show this change. Avoid the stereotypes –tell us YOUR nursing story!

Stories can be fiction, fact, prose or poetry. Must be original and only UNMC College of Nursing Alumni or students of the college are eligible!! (You may only submit to one contest!!)

Contest opens November 15, 2023, and submission due January 8, 2024.

Winners will be posted on the UNMC College of Nursing Website and in special Commemorative Booklet. There are 4 Student Awards of $1000 each. There are not cash awards for the alumni contest.
