What types of financial aid are available?

Scholarships  To complete the UNMC Scholarship Application, you must have a UNMC ID and Password. Once you have received your login information, we encourage you to submit your UNMC Scholarship Application through MyRecords. After logging in, click on "View My Financial Aid." In the links menu, click on "Apply for Scholarships" and follow the instructions provided. Learn more about scholarships at UNMC. The deadline to apply is April 1st or within 30 days after acceptance if accepted after April 1st. One application is used for all scholarship awards made by the College of Nursing. Limited scholarship money is available for academic merit, financial need, and specific donor criteria. Scholarships are awarded annually and are not guaranteed for following years. Grants  To be considered for grant aid, students must complete the " Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA). Grants are based on financial need and do not have to be repaid.

Federal Work Study  You must complete the FAFSA to be considered for Federal Work Study funds. If you are interested, mark this field on your UNMC application for Scholarships and Financial Aid.

Education Loans  You may be eligible to receive a variety of loans. Completing the FAFSA is the first step. UNMC's  Financial Aid office has more information.

How do I apply for financial aid at UNMC?

For Federal Aid consideration, students must complete the FAFSA. Be sure to include the University of Nebraska Medical Center's institutional code on the form. The code is 006895. If you have already filed a FAFSA but did not include our school code, you can contact the financial aid office for assistance. You do not need to file another form.
