Learn More About the Resident
Hometown: Omaha, NE
Career aspirations: I plan on becoming a general OB-GYN at a private hospital here in Omaha.
What was your first job? I worked as a nanny for my first job.
What is the furthest you've traveled from Omaha? I love to travel and will try to go somewhere new any chance I get. I have made it to Europe for a school trip and Belize for a medical mission trip.
If you couldn't work in medicine, what would you do? I can't imagine not doing something in medicine but if I had to choose, I would be a veterinarian. Before the craziness of residency, I would rescue, bottle feed, and find homes for cats and kittens.
Best thing to do in Nebraska if you only had one day? I would start up the day by going to one of the many brunch places in Omaha. Next, if the weather allows, I would enjoy the day outside hiking or laying by the pool with some of my favorite people. The perfect end to the day would be having a cookout and bonfire.
Most fond residency experience or memory up to this point? I have loved residency for the people I have met and have been able to work with. Residency forms a bond between you and your fellow residents that is like nothing else. We have fun while at work and choose to spend time together outside of work.
