Resident Pharmacy Practice Educational Initiative Program
The Resident Pharmacy Practice Educational Initiative (RPPEI) is designed for motivated students who are ready to commit to a future in pharmacy practice in Nebraska. The program encourages applications from students attending public and private institutions across the state who demonstrate a strong desire to remain in Nebraska and serve its communities.
RPPEI participants benefit from early assurance admission to the pharmacy program. This unique pathway allows students to pursue their professional goals with confidence, clarity, and a streamlined transition into pharmacy education.
Ready to Apply?
Students may apply to the RPPEI program after completing their first or second semester of college and the required pharmacy prerequisite coursework.
- Nebraska Resident
- Or, have completed at least one semester of pre-pharmacy curriculum
at a Nebraska educational institution - minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
- Completion of the RPPEI online application. Applications accepted year-round.
- Submission of three letters of recommendation, two of which should be faculty in math/science. These letters should be sent directly from the recommender to Amber Hawk.

Based upon the application materials, the Committee will decide whether to interview the student. This is communicated to the student which then triggers the next steps;
- Interview by Admissions Committee plus a writing exercise;
- Admissions Committee review of application and other materials;
- Admissions Committee approval for early assurance admission provided that the program standards have been met
