Bennett Berning, MD

Dr. Berning is an acute care surgeon whose clinical focus is on trauma, emergency general surgery and surgical critical care. He has a strong interest in surgical education and works with a wide variety of medical trainees. He currently serves as the medical director of the surgical intensive care unit, a unit that cares for the critically injured, complex surgical patients, and patients who have undergone solid organ transplantation.

Dr. Berning is an instructor for several clinical courses including advanced trauma life support, fundamentals of critical care support, and disaster management and emergency preparedness.
