Acute Care Surgery

The Division of Acute Care Surgery is committed to educational excellence to train the next generation of surgeons.

We provide leadership in education, research and trauma system planning. Through innovative research and development of novel programs, we are steadfast in advancing surgical knowledge to enhance the practice of acute care surgery.

Our faculty members who are trauma surgeons are specialty trained and board certified in Critical Care Surgery. Our faculty provide excellent, compassionate and comprehensive care for patients with complex traumatic injuries through UNMC's primary clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine, and its nationally certified Level 1 Trauma Center.
