Criteria for Continued Membership

Members and Affiliate Members:

• Attend at least one IAE Quarterly Meeting per year
• Participate in at least one IAE Special Interest Group (SIG)
• Take part in at least one teaching or educational service activity, either individually or in conjunction with participation in a SIG. Examples include:
• Involvement in an IAE initiative such as: Serving as a Peer Feedback reviewer, presenting at an IAE educational workshop (e.g. Teaching Launchpad), serving as an IAE educational consultant for UNMC faculty or staff
• IAE committee member (e.g. Membership, Impact in Education Awards)
• Create teaching video/module for the IAE or other peer-reviewed website
• Mentoring an early career educator
• Author a peer reviewed educational publication
• Present an education-related project at a local, national, or international meeting
• Complete Annual Engagement Survey

Associate Members:

• Attend at least one IAE event per academic year (attendance at SIG meetings count)
• Participate in the Learner SIG
