Apply to the UNMC Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program
Apply through ERAS® - The Electronic Residency Application Service. Candidates are encouraged to apply including the following in the application:
- ERAS application
- Personal statement
- MSPE
- Med school transcript, USMLE or COMLEX transcript
- Three letters of recommendation with one from your residency program director
- Candidate must be board certified or eligible in the US and have completed an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency.
- Interview: Interviews are by invitation only and conducted from August to October. All interviews will be conducted remotely. No in-person visit is required as part of the interview process.
- We are willing to sponsor candidates with J-1 and H1b status.

- Membership in IDSA and SHEA
- Travel to ID Week in their first and second year (second year required to submit abstract or case)
- Travel to SHEA Spring to participate in the Healthcare Epidemiology Training Course
- Support to attend numerous local training events including the UNMC HIV Prevention and Care Update, Nebraska State Antimicrobial Stewardship Summit, Nebraska ID Society Symposium, and other events
- Food provided during select conferences
