Training Sites
Our fellows practice at training sites through UNMC's primary clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine. Optional rotations or secondary training sites include Children's Nebraska and the Douglas County Health Department STI Clinic.

The Nebraska Medical Center
Nebraska Medical Center is a 718 acute-care bed facility and the teaching hospital for UNMC. Experts provide care to some of the sickest and most complex patients at this location and the ID division sees patients in all hospital towers.

The Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center
General ID service as well as Oncology, Orthopedic and Transplant ID services take place in this state-of-the-art facility for cancer research and clinical care. Fellows work on a variety of infections with a team of physicians, surgeons and APPs.

Bellevue Medical Center
On the Community ID service, fellows rotate at this smaller community hospital and are afforded significant autonomy as they work one-on-one with an ID faculty member. The patient mix includes both general ID as well as orthopedic ID infections.

Specialty Care Center
The HIV Program provides comprehensive care of the HIV-infected patient at all stages of the disease. Fellows see their own panel of patients with or at risk for HIV/AIDS weekly and work closely with a multidisciplinary team at this ambulatory continuity clinic.

Durham Outpatient Center
Our faculty offer expertise and treat a wide range of health conditions in adults at this facility. Fellows will see patients with routine and complex cases on General ID and other ID services like step down, telehealth and pediatric ID.
