Rheumatology and Immunology

We are actively engaged in clinical and translational research and teaching, leading to advances in the diagnosis and management of disease.

Our faculty members areas of expertise include rheumatoid arthritis, gout, myositis, scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus, and the use of ultrasound in rheumatology.

Our division is home to a nationally and internationally known clinical research program for rheumatoid arthritis, the Rheumatology & Arthritis Investigational Network, as well as the VA Rheumatoid Arthritis Registry, and FORWARD – The National Databank for Rheumatic Diseases.

Division Chief

Bryant England, MD, PhD, is chief of the UNMC Division of Rheumatology and Immunology. He is a clinician-investigator focused on improving long-term outcomes in rheumatoid arthritis.
