The opening of the Health Sciences Education Center II will add a physical presence for McGoogan Library in Kearney. This will include anatomical models and print books to check out, as well as support from an on-campus librarian.

Kearney Services

The library is not currently open to the public. When HSEC II opens in early 2026, a UNMC badge issued by the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) will be required for building access. Guests must be accompanied by a current UNMC student, faculty or staff member.

UNMC-Kearney students also have library privileges at Calvin T. Ryan Library on the UNK campus.
