Mary E. Halbur, PhD, BCBA-D is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in the integrated Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (iCASD). Dr. Halbur is also the Clinical Director of the Autism Care for Toddlers in Omaha North (ACTION) Clinic that provides early intensive behavioral intervention services to young children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

Dr. Halbur received a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science at the University of Iowa and Master’s degrees in Behavior Analysis and Psychology at St. Cloud State University and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, respectively. Dr. Halbur received her PhD in Psychology with a specialization in behavior analysis from Marquette University under the supervision of Dr. Tiffany Kodak and she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at UNMC in the Munroe-Meyer Institute. The majority of her research and clinical experiences include early behavioral intervention, language acquisition and treatment team member (i.e., teacher, caregiver) involvement in behavior analytic service delivery. Dr. Halbur serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and The Analysis of Verbal Behavior and has been a guest reviewer for a variety of behavioral journals.
