Our department houses the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences (IGPBS) Neuroscience graduate program, which offers formal courses and research training in neuroscience leading to a PhD.

Summer Undergraduate Research Program

The PEN department offers summer research programs for undergraduate, high school students and high school science teachers. Program objectives include providing a research experience that may help students evaluate their interest and potential in a biomedical research career; and providing practical training in the use of current research techniques.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center administers a NIH sponsored neuroimmunology of disease T32 training program. This highly selective program provides research opportunities with mentors in various aspects of study.
