National Quarantine Unit

The 20-bed National Quarantine Unit is the only federally-funded quarantine unit in the U.S., and is housed in the Training, Simulation, and Quarantine Center, which provides a biocontainment unit training center, emergency operations center, and multipurpose room for incident management and skills training.

Nebraska Biocontainment Unit

The Nebraska Biocontainment Unit, a collaborative project between Nebraska Medicine and the University of Nebraska Medical Center, was dedicated in 2005. As a result of federal funding aimed at infectious disease preparedness, the biocontainment unit was established to provide safe treatment and care for patients infected with special pathogens.
