EMBRACE Collaborations

Building a Statewide Coalition

Through strategic partnerships, EMBRACE brings together communities, hospitals, and health systems across Nebraska to improve access to high-quality, coordinated maternal care.

The EMBRACE team is in active communication with health systems throughout the state to build and expand this network. The map illustrates these efforts, with each purple star representing a current or prospective collaboration site.

Site Visits

Through site visits across Nebraska, the EMBRACE team is meeting directly with healthcare providers and system leaders to share the program’s impact and expand collaboration. These conversations invite partners to learn more and become part of a statewide effort to improve maternal health.

On June 15th, 2026, the EMBRACE program conducted a site visit to Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, Nebraska. The visit included meetings with the OB-GYN provider who completes deliveries at the facility, as well as leadership from Labor & Delivery and Nursing Administration. The team also completed a tour of the Labor & Delivery and NICU units.

Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration through implementation of the STAMPP-HTN program at Mary Lanning Healthcare. Additional topics included nursing education initiatives, which were strongly supported and identified as an area for continued partnership development. The group also reviewed opportunities related to maternal biomarker integration, including anticipated timelines for future implementation.

This visit further reinforced a shared commitment to improving maternal health outcomes across Nebraska through coordinated rural-urban partnerships, education, and evidence-based clinical programs.

The EMBRACE team traveled to Beatrice on June 8, 2026, to meet with local maternal healthcare providers and discuss ways we can work together to support mothers and families in southeast Nebraska.

During our visit, we had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Deanna Paulson, OB/GYN, and Lindsay Detert, APRN-CNM. We had great conversations about partnering to implement the STAMPP program, exploring opportunities to collaborate on maternal ultrasound services, and developing educational resources for both patients and healthcare teams.

We are excited to welcome Beatrice Community Hospital & Health Center as an EMBRACE partner. Their dedication to providing high-quality care close to home aligns closely with our mission to improve maternal health outcomes across Nebraska. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship, support their efforts, and work together to make a lasting impact for families in rural communities.

The EMBRACE team conducted a site visit on April 30, 2026, to Kearney, meeting with providers at Contemporary OB to strengthen regional collaboration and assess local maternal health needs. Discussions centered on current gaps in care, opportunities for enhanced coordination, and the continued success of our Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) and ultrasound outreach clinic, which is performing well and expanding access to specialty services. Together, we explored additional strategies to further bridge care gaps and support high-quality, equitable maternal care closer to home for patients in the Kearney region.

The EMBRACE team visited the Grand Island Contemporary OB-GYN group on March 4, 2026, to discuss expanded collaboration with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM), including increased access to advanced ultrasound and remote interpretation.
