Residency and Fellowships

The Department of Pathology & Microbiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center offers an ACGME accredited, four-year residency program in anatomic and clinical pathology (AP/CP), in addition to fellowship training in blood banking and transfusion medicine, clinical microbiologygastrointestinal/liver & transplant pathology,  hematopathology,  molecular genetic pathology, and surgical pathology. There are also educational opportunities for fourth year medical students through the department's clerkship program to actively participate in advanced elective rotations and work directly with skilled clinical pathologists. The department offers its residents and fellows an excellent clinical network of hospitals, clinics, laboratories, physicians, and staff, providing a full spectrum of medical education experiences. 

We are increasing our resident complement from thirteen trainees to sixteen trainees.
