Patient Specific QA Routine work throughout residency
HDR Spot check Routine work throughout residency
In-vivo dosimetry Routine work throughout residency
TBI Cases Routine work, 2nd year resident in charge of planning for TBI until the 1st year starts Rotation 3
CT Simulation Observe 5 days of CT Sim procedures
Linac Treatment Delivery Spend 4 days on the treatment machine
Nursing and Physician Observations Shadow nursing for 1 day and physician consults for 1 day
CT Periodic QA Serve as primary physicist for one CT simulator in the 1st year
Monthly QA Serve as primary physicist for one Linac machine in the 2nd year
Treatment Planning Finish at least 25 (3D) + 30 (non-3D) clinical-quality plans and document. Participate in at least 1 case/month after Rotation 3.
HDR/LDR Treatment Participate in every case during Rotation 5. Participate in at least 1 case/month (non-prostate) after Rotation 5
Annual QA Participate in at least 5 annual QAs, finish at least 2 annual QA reports
TG 51 calibration Independently perform 4 TG51 calibrations
HDR source exchange QA Independently perform 3 HDR source exchange QAs
Chart Check Cases

60 weekly chart checks starting 2nd year (~2/week); 30 2nd check + 30 final physics check during Rotation 8
