ASP App & Hopkins Guide
The Johns Hopkins Antibiotic Guide is available for all staff at Nebraska Medicine. We are working on integrating our local ASP Guidance into the app as well.
Visit uCentral, which maintains the Johns Hopkins ABX Guide.
Everyone can use this resource when on the Nebraska Medicine network, both on-site and through VPN (Duo/Global Protect). Also, you are able to create an account and download the app, and have access anywhere.
Instructions for Downloading the uCentral Mobile Application
Creating a uCentral Account
If you do not yet have a uCentral account, follow these steps:
- While connected to your institution’s Wi-Fi network, open a web browser and go to uCentral.
- In the upper-right corner of the webpage, select “Register a free account with Nebraska Medical Center.”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create your account.
Setting Up the Mobile App
Once your uCentral account has been created, set up the mobile app:
- On your mobile device, connect to your institution’s Wi-Fi network.
- Open the app store for your device and download the app titled: “uCentral for Institutions” by Unbound Medicine.
- Open the app and select “Sign In.”
- Enter your personal uCentral username and password. After signing in, the app will download your available content.
After initial registration and setup, you no longer need to be connected to your institution’s Wi-Fi to use the mobile app.
Follow this quick tutorial on how to use the desktop version for anyone who has never used Johns Hopkins ABX Guide.
Pharmacy is providing this resource to the McGoogan Library and UNMC, so providers and students can also have access to both the desktop and app versions.
