Allergy Guidance

In collaboration with the UNMC Division of Allergy and Immunology, the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program has developed guidance for prescribing antibiotics to Nebraska Medicine patients with allergies to penicillin.

When a beta-lactam antibiotic is desired for patients with a reaction to penicillin, use the guidance document to decide whether to order a beta-lactam graded-challenge or desensitization.
