Allergy Guidance

In collaboration with the UNMC Division of Allergy and Immunology, the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program has developed guidance for prescribing antibiotics to patients with allergies to penicillins at Nebraska Medicine. When a beta-lactam antibiotic is desired for patients with a reaction to penicillin, use the guidance document to decide whether to order a beta-lactam graded-challenge or desensitization.
