Leisure Explorer Club (LEC)

Adult Programs

Leisure Explorer Club (LEC) is a program for adults that collaborates with the Vocational Development Center (VODEC) and Jerry Graesser Center in Omaha.

Participants from these centers meet two days each week for a few hours to participate in leisure activities and socialization. One day is used to swim in MMI’s heated pool and the other is used for community outings. Off-site destinations include bowling alleys, Fontenelle Forest or other nature centers, art galleries and more. LEC is led by trained recreation therapists with the assistance of activity technicians.

Program details

This program is typically offered as a Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Wednesday session based on which center the participant attends.
Space in this program is limited.
Transportation to and from VODEC or Jerry Graesser Centers is provided.
There is a fee for this program and scholarships may be available.
