Pediatric Neurosurgery

The Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is committed to educating our neurosurgical trainees to provide the most advanced and comprehensive care for neonates, children, and adolescents. 

Our program provides a multiidisciplinary approach, utilizing the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques and diagnostic tools with access to two hospital facilities.  

Our pediatric neurosurgery trainees have the opportunity to gain subspecialty skills,  including:

  • Congenital Pediatric Conditions
  • Pediatric Brain Tumors
  • Comprehensive Epilepsy Program
  • Craniofacial Program
  • Spasticity Program
  • Spinal Disorder / Dysraphism

Our PGY-4 residents spend six months on the pediatric neursourgery rotation at Children's Nebraska. 

Our pediatric neurosurgery faculty are committed to innovation extending to minimally invasive endoscopic procedures for skull base lesions, making us the sole program in Nebraska to offer this advanced treatment option.
