Spine Lab

Our fellowship-trained spine surgery faculty are highly skilled and provide surgical treatment opportunities for our trainees for all forms of pathology of the spine including:

  • Degenerative disease
  • Trauma
  • Spine deformity (including scoliosis)
  • Craniocervical junction disorders (including Chiari malformation)
  • Syringomyelia
  • Infections
  • Tumors of the vertebrae, nerves or spinal cord.

Our residents are an integral part of our healthcare team which includes allied health professionals, fellowship-trained surgeons, pain management specialists and physiatrists.  

Treatments include

  • pain injections
  • nerve ablations
  • spinal cord stimulators
  • analgesia infusion devices
  • Navigation-assisted and robotic-assisted surgery
  • Custom spinal implants
  • Carbon-fiber screws for tumor surgery
  • Minimally-invasive (MIS) or ‘keyhole’ surgery of the spine

We provide many unique spine research opportunities for our trainees, striving to allow each resident to reach their potential not only as a physician, but as a scientist as well.
