Research

Research is an important part of fellowship training, and our fellows have opportunities to engage in basic, translational, clinical or educational research.

Fellows are provided the time, mentorship and resources to complete a meaningful research experience with their work being presented at national meetings and frequently published in peer-reviewed journals.

To complete their research, fellows have four weeks of protected time in their first year and twelve-plus weeks of protected time in their second year.

Fellows are encouraged to attend one national meeting per year, paid for by the division, with the expectation that an abstract will be submitted to the meeting.
