BRIDGE Research Hub
BRIDGE: Building Research Innovation, Development & Growth in Education
BRIDGE is a new research development initiative within the UNMC Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology designed to support and elevate scholarly activity across all levels—faculty, residents, and medical students. BRIDGE was created to provide an organized pathway to help early‑stage research ideas grow into fully developed, implemented, and funded projects.
Our goal is simple: To bridge the gap between promising ideas and successful, impactful research.
What BRIDGE Does
Supports Early-Stage Research
BRIDGE provides the structure, guidance, and collaboration needed to help emerging ideas take shape. The support provided includes connecting investigators with departmental resources, mentorship, and processes.
Provides Visibility to All Ongoing Research
BRIDGE serves as a shared space to highlight:
- New and innovative search ideas
- On-going active projects
- Resident and medical student scholarly work
As BRIDGE grows, our priorities include:
- Building a robust, dynamic inventory of departmental research
- Increasing pathways for residents and students to engage in meaningful scholarship
- Supporting investigators as they prepare competitive proposals
- Highlighting impactful work across all research domains
- Strengthening connections with institutional partners and national experts
BRIDGE is committed to fostering a culture where ideas can develop, partnerships can flourish, and research can advance to improve the health of the communities we serve.
