Educational Resources
Organization Memberships
Residents have access to a range of professional memberships and learning platforms that support their clinical training, exam preparation, and career development. These resources offer opportunities for hands-on experience, evidence-based learning, and connection to national standards—all integrated into the residency experience through our intranet and curriculum.
- American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy
- Membership in this group provides the residents with access to a gynecological surgery video library, journal, discussion group, newsletter, and special interest groups.
- The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
- The resources this organization provides are practice guidelines, educational materials for patients, practice management, career support, and women's health advocacy.
- Da Vinci Robotic Surgery
- The Intuitive Learning program by da Vinci Surgery provides online modules, training videos, annual in-person equipment training sessions, and exercises on their robotic simulator at no cost to the department. We have developed a curriculum for the residents to follow so they may obtain a robotic surgery equivalency certificate by the time they graduate from the residency program.
- Dept. of OB-GYN Intranet Site
- We have built a comprehensive internal site featuring lecture archives, reading checklists, research templates, and quick-access links to essential educational resources tailored for our residents. The intranet site is accessible by UNMC faculty, staff and residents.
- TrueLearn Medical Exam Prep
- TrueLearn provides residents with access to board-style practice questions, detailed explanation, and performance analytics. It supports preparation for specialty board exams by helping learners identify knowledge gaps and tracks progress over time. We utilize TrueLearn to reinforce curriculum and support exam readiness.
