Interests
Running – Finished four marathons, one trail ultra-marathon, and two half-marathons in five separate states; running history also includes two years of collegiate cross-country and smaller, community event fun-run participation; trail running on local paths around Pocatello, Idaho was a recent addition to the running list though this has switched back to road racing in residency
Music Performance – Piano lessons began in first grade and continued through college with five recitals and performance in the Grinnell College Solo Contest Competition; French horn lessons began in eleventh grade and continued through college with performance at regional honor festivals and collegiate concerts through symphonic band, orchestra, and chamber groups; voice lessons in college with involvement as a cantor at my local Catholic church in Pocatello, Idaho; currently, I am an active member of the Nebraska Medical Orchestra playing French horn.
