UNMC, Fostering the Future, Omaha, NE. United States of America Blanket drive event organizer and participant. An interdisciplinary organization that helps empower children in the foster system to be advocates for their own health care and connect them with healthcare resources. The blanket drive involved organizing an event for the student body to come make tie blankets to then donate to various organizations across Omaha.

UNMC High School Alliance, Omaha, NE

Helped with set up, organization, teaching, and clean up for several meetings of UNMC High School Alliance, which is a health sciences enrichment program for high school students at UNMC. I helped with the basics of blood types and the process of blood typing lecture and laboratory activity. Other meetings included basics of blood pressure, suturing, and injections.

Career Interests
I am somewhat undecided, but at the moment I am interested in practicing primarily general surgical pathology, likely in a private practice setting with some clinical pathology duties thrown in. GI pathology is currently my favorite surgical sub specialty. 

Hobbies and Interests
Reading: Lifetime reader/learner, fiction (Science fiction) and non-fiction (medicine, biology, sociology, finance, science/technology, audio/video tech); enjoy participating in book clubs/discussing books and films. Audio/video equipment, movies/music: I enjoy reading about and trying out different audio and video equipment (stereo amplifiers/preamps, A/V receivers, speakers, home theater tech and room design) as well as appreciate film and music as an art form.
