Entering Day 11 of UNMC's United Way campaign, here's how the participation levels stack up by college or unit:

Ice cream social on Friday

Employees of UNMC who donate a minimum of $5 to the United Way are invited to a free ice cream social event from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, in the Sorrell Center, second floor commons. To receive free ice cream, employees must show a printout receipt of their United Way pledge. Bring $1 bills to donate for EXTRA toppings!

  • School of Allied Health Professions: 89 percent
  • Chancellor's Unit: 76 percent
  • College of Public Health: 64 percent
  • Research: 58 percent
  • Eppley Institute: 56 percent
  • Business and Finance: 55 percent
  • College of Nursing: 52 percent
  • Student and Academic Affairs: 47 percent
  • ITS: 46 percent
  • College of Pharmacy: 44 percent
  • Munroe-Meyer Institute: 40 percent
  • Human Resources: 36 percent
  • Facilities Management and Planning: 35 percent
  • College of Medicine: 17 percent

The running total
As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, UNMC achieved:

  • Donations of $119,915, nearly 80 percent of the campaign goal of $150,000.
  • Employee participation of 32 percent. This year's employee participation goal is 50 percent. Remember, using the UNMC eServ website to choose not to donate counts as participation, and all participants will be entered in the final drawing on Oct. 3!
