UNMC's Gospel Fest was part of the med center's Juneteenth Jubilee.

UNMC held its fifth annual Gospel Fest on Friday, June 17, in honor of Juneteenth and part of the med center's Juneteenth Jubilee.

Local campus partners and the med center community participated in the celebration, which was held on the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza.

The event featured gospel singing, dancing and spoken-word performances, followed by an information expo with campus and community partners.

  • Gospel singer Sania "Tink" Taylor performed.

  • She is 12 years old, going into 7th grade.

Chris Brookins was among the gospel singers at Gospel Fest.

Mother Elisha Suttles and daughter Za'Riya Lewis performed a dance routine as part of the event.
