March 28, 1997 — UNMC To Hold Grand Opening at New Bellevue Health Center

Health screenings and activities for children are on tap when the University
of Nebraska Medical Center holds a grand opening celebration at its new
University Medical Associates health center at 2102 Harvell Circle in Bellevue,
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 5.

Blood pressure and cholesterol screenings will be available at no cost.
Children’s activities include face-painting, height and weight checks,
and Teddy Bear and doll check-ups.

The health center, which has been open since December, offers a full
range of family medicine and obstetrics and gynecology services. The health
center is staffed by three physicians — Katherine Harrison, M.D., a family
medicine physician, and Lewe Okereke, M.D., and Marvin Stancil, M.D., both
obstetrics/gynecology physicians. Internal medicine services will be added
this fall when John Harris, M.D., joins the staff. The Bellevue health
center includes 11 exam rooms, one procedure room, and X-ray and laboratory
facilities.

Hours are: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Tuesday
and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. For appointments, call 595-1342.
