Munroe-Meyer Institute Guild President Phyllis Choat has announced that the 2003 Garden Walk benefit on June 8 netted $36,600.

The MMI Guild held its annual Garden Walk Wrap-Up Brunch on June 19 at the home of Mary Ann Pederson. Choat co-hosted the brunch to thank the chairpersons and members for another making the Garden Walk successful. The general chairs for this year were Lindsay Huurman, Grace Overby, Mary Ann Pederson and Mary Ellen Wychulis.

Choat also introduced the 2004 Garden Walk chairpersons, Annette Olson and Michelle Giroux.

Proceeds from the Garden Walk provide grants to the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation for client services, special programs and research grants. The Guild also funds an educational stipend for a graduate student at MMI and a MMI staff appreciation event.

MMI uses an interdisciplinary team approach to evaluate, diagnose, treat and support individuals with developmental and/or genetic disabilities and their families. For information on joining the Guild, call Pat Gallagher at 559-6460.
