In honor of Independence Day, UNMC Today invited employees to submit information about immediate family members who are serving in a combat zone overseas. UNMC Today received the following responses.

Paul Anderson

U.S. Naval Reserve (activated)
Serving in Iraq (storekeeper, Air Cargo).
He is the husband of Lynne Anderson, UNMC Gynecology/Oncology.

Capt. Lena Gold-Davis

U.S. Marine Corp (aviator)
Serving near Ramadi, Iraq.
She is the daughter of Barry Gold, Ph.D., Eppley Institute.

Serving in Iraq.
He is the brother of Carol Kirchner, UNMC Accounting and Business Systems Development.

Cpl. John Calvert Ingraham

Serving in Al Fallujah, Iraq.
He is the son of John and Nell Ingraham, who respectively work in UNMC Security and the department of pathology/microbiology.

She is the daughter of William Woodman, UNMC’s Sponsored Programs Administration.

His sister is Katie Kock, UNMC Department of Pediatrics/Section on Child Health Policy.

Sgt. Jason Pecha

Serving in Iraq.
He is the son of Joe Pecha, UNMC Facilities Management and Planning.

Sgt. 1st Class Terry Schultz

Serving in Afghanistan.
His sister is Johna Belling, UNMC Surgery.

Sgt. Justin S. Thomas
U.S. Army, 25th Light Infantry Division
Serving in Iraq.
He is the son of Marilyn Thomas Larkin, UNMC Payroll Department.
