2010 Student Senate elections results

In January, Andrew Klutman, left, will begin his term as UNMC Student Senate President and student regent. Jeremy Peterson, right, will serve as vice president of the Student Senate.

The votes have been counted and Andrew Klutman (M-3) of Columbus, Neb., will serve as the 2010 UNMC Student Senate president and student regent.

Jeremy Peterson (M-2) of Atkinson, Neb., will serve as vice president.

Klutman currently serves as senate vice president; Peterson is senate secretary. Both are multiple year class presidents.

“I look forward to working with both of these talented, experienced student leaders as we continue our UNMC tradition of excellence in student government,” said Student Senate Adviser David Carver, Ph.D., who is director of UNMC Counseling and Student Development.

Klutman and Peterson will take office in January, along with the following newly elected at-large senators:

The term for at-large senate seats runs from January through December of 2010. In addition to the at-large seats, the colleges are represented on the senate by class presidents and other representatives who are elected at various times throughout the school year.
