On Thursday, the assistant professor of surgical oncology, his wife, Madhuri Are, M.D., assistant professor of surgical oncology; and Shireen Rajaram, Ph.D., director of the Center for Reducing Health Disparities; will discuss other components of Indian culture during a campus presentation in the Durham Research Center Auditorium.
“The presentation will increase awareness of cultural diversity that can improve the work environment for a place like UNMC which has a culturally diverse workforce,” Dr. Chandra Are said.
The presentation, part of the UNMC 2010-2011 Diversity and Cultural Arts Series, runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
