What: Conversations take place immediately following the 2 p.m. matinee performance of “Evil Dead: The Musical” and are free to those attending that day’s performance.

Faculty to lead conversations

Shawn Gibbs, Ph.D., associate dean for student affairs in the UNMC College of Public Health, and Michael McCaskill, Ph.D., assistant professor in environmental, agricultural and occupational health, will lead the following discussions:


  • Feb. 17: Dr. Gibbs will explore the possibility of a zombie outbreak and how to prepare for it.
  • March 3: Dr. Gibbs will discuss the different types of infection and how they spread.
  • March 10: Dr. McCaskill will explore the possibility that real life zombies do exist because of the use of designer drugs such as bath salts that cause zombie-like behavior.
