Tell us a bit about what you do here at UNMC.

As a faculty member at the College of Nursing, Northern Division in Norfolk, Neb., I have taught both theory and clinical for Semesters I and III.

“Being a trusted resource” is one of UNMC’s brand values. Tell us of a time you witnessed a person or group “being a trusted resource” at UNMC.

Every working day I witness a great faculty that works together to provide a safe, learning environment for diverse students. In turn, I notice students who reciprocate the same respect for instructors, staff and peers.

What is your favorite spring activity?

I like to hide Easter eggs for my children and grandchildren, even though my children are young adults.

List three things people may not know about you.

  • I moved in July from Scottsbluff, Neb., where I lived for 37 years.
  • I like to hike especially in the Sandhills of Western Nebraska.
  • I have a remote ranch in the Sandhills with a river running through it where my husband and I can hike all day (or week) without seeing another person.
