The group will be accompanying a delegation of Xalapa city officials to Omaha in August to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the sister city partnership.

Bring a lunch at noon on Aug. 18 to the ice rink at the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza for a bit of history and a spectacular dance presentation from the group.

Carrie Meyer, curator from the Durham Museum, will give a brief history of the Omaha Sister Cities partnership and provide an introduction to the group before they perform.

In the event of inclement weather, the presentation will be relocated to the Sorrell Center, Room 2018.

Watch this video for a preview of the Aug. 18 performance.

The event is offered through the Time Travelers partnership, which provides free museum admission for UNMC and Nebraska Medicine employees, students and their immediate families, with valid identification. The partnership also offers lectures, workshops and other events on the medical center campus.
