Registration is open for the 2022 Maverick Run on Saturday, April 23, at 9 a.m. at Baxter Arena. UNMC faculty and staff can register for a discounted rate of $15.
In addition to the 10K and 5K Runs, 5K Walk and Kids' Race, activities and booth vendors will be located inside Baxter Arena.
Use discount code Staff10 at registration. A virtual 5K run/walk is available for those who don't feel comfortable being in person; the discount code still is available.
The Maverick Run will follow social distancing best practices and will work closely with the Douglas County Health Department to follow all health measures at the time of the event.
Masks might be required at the time of the race by all parties, although participants could remove their masks once they leave the starting line. Upon crossing the finish line, participants will be given an approximately 100-foot “recovery zone” and might be required to put on a mask.
