Clinical Instructor
Department of Adult Restorative Dentistry

Background: I graduated from the UNMC College of Dentistry in 1986, practiced in Colorado Springs until 1996, then bought a practice in North Platte, Nebraska. In 2008, I started Maple Park Dental Associates with Dr. Ben Lashley and retired in November 2021. I am certified in dental sleep medicine and craniofacial pain.

I look forward to helping students develop their clinical skills and hopefully giving them some pearls of wisdom about practicing dentistry in the real world.

Hometown: I was born and raised in Lincoln-Havelock and went to Havelock Elementary, Dawes Middle School, and Lincoln Northeast.

My family: I have two children with my wife of 43 years, Lori. My son, Alex, and his English wife, Kirsty, live in Arvada, Colorado and are both in real estate. My daughter, Sophie, and her husband, Jeff, live in Grand Island, Nebraska and have two adorable children, Hazel and Elliott, who are the light of my life. We also have a nine-year-old Golden Retriever named Lola.

Favorite things to do on a day off: Golfing, fishing, wrenching on my vehicles and enjoying my grandchildren.

Three things most people don’t know about me: I am a gourmet chef, I am relearning the guitar, and I bought a dental building in North Platte and stripped it to the studs and remodeled it by myself.
