“I really look forward to the challenges of working at the UNMC College of Dentistry. I am very impressed with the dedication exhibited by the faculty and staff here. Working with students is very enriching. They have so much talent and it is always exciting seeing their skills develop.”

“I am very happy to be here. I look forward to the day when I actually know people’s names.  It will take a while, but I will get there.”

Education:

DDS, Creighton University School of Dentistry, 1986

Background:

I spent the past 21 years as a full-time faculty member at the Creighton University School of Dentistry. Prior to that I was in private practice in Des Moines, Iowa. I also worked for Delta Dental Plan of Iowa as Vice President of Provider Relations.

Hometown:

Des Moines, Iowa.

My family:

I have seven brothers and sisters. There’s a lot of dental roots in my family. One of my brothers is a dentist and one of my sisters is a dental hygienist. My father was a dentist in Des Moines and his brother was an orthodontist. My wife, Christy, and I live in Omaha and have one son, Matthew, who is a sophomore in high school.

Favorite things to do on a day off:

I enjoy being outside, whether working in the yard or playing golf. I like to tinker with things; I would rather fix something myself than have someone do it for me.
